Labor Market Information (LMI) in the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment collects and analyzes information about labor market trends throughout Colorado. Data are presented in a variety of ways: industry employment and wages, current and projected industry and occupation levels, occupation wages, and labor force employment and wages. LMI conducts various research projects and assists workforce centers, educators and others with customized regional information requests.

New Services and Products

Help Wanted On-Line (HWOL) reviews online job postings through various online job boards and compiles that data on a weekly basis to form a 4-year time-series.  LMI analysts are able to use this data to identify companies that are hiring and in-demand occupations.  The Top 3 hiring companies and Top 3 hiring occupations are displayed on the LMI Gateway homepage.

Haver Analytics specializes in economic and financial databases that contain historical time-series data. Haver's US Regional Databases, give LMI analysts a wealth of data that can assist with economic analysis.

LMI 101 Online on e-Colorado is our newest e-learning product.  Designed to provide an introduction to LMI for our web site users, the first 6 modules take less than 10 minutes each to review.  They provide information about how data is collected and can be used. Module 7 is a game designed to help learners practice what they have learned, using the LMI website at  http://www.colmigateway.com/
